What would I be without you both?
Probably not much.
A thought I don’t like to imagine often,
But,
it comes across here and there every time I cough,
And,
Realize how neglectful I am of your presences,
Yet,
I have no idea how to take care of you both while I search for an answer.
An answer so difficult to find when a big part of my heart wants to die.
Not the kind of death we don’t come back from,
But,
The kind where we’re reborn with love,
For ourselves unlike ever before.
For my sweet ole’ vocal cords…
What would I be without you both?
A poet I wouldn’t be.
A nobody I would with a foot in each hole,
I’ve dug for myself while faded behind smoke.
Never again will I mistreat any of you no matter the level of anger I feel when I’m lost without a goal,
In mind.
It’s time.
For the rest you so dearly deserve as I close my eyes.
And,
Pray.
Pray for a better life…
