Word around town is,
You’re doing better now that you aren’t being held down by a man drowning,
Through glass stained by lipstick worn from a kiss of death hounding my existence…
With every sip,
I die a little internally while refurbishing my taste for a drip,
Of saliva from another’s lips,
For another trip to a honey moon sweeter than what went stale.
As I prevail as a man reborn for a woman looking for a king without a crown standing strong against the gale,
Of a scorn’s departure…
Death is sweeter than being alive,
In the presencr of a lie,
Symbolized as a dime,
I payed for in smoke shielding my eyes,
From acknowledging the hands of time,
Slipping from my mind as I spiraled into ash falling into mortars many call a line,
On a page resurrecting a life,
Nothing could provide,
Besides letting the glass go.
Shattering in my line of sight ,
As I avoid stepping on a shard of pain with a journal in my arms I’ve chosen to hold.
Instead of the ghost of a vixen with a taste for tragedy waiting to unfold…
