Silhouette Of Destruction – Day 358, Never Give Up On Your Dreamz

Her naked body is now a silhouette symbolizing the darkness of which has taken over my eyes,
For so long.
As her hips rock back and forth,
All I’m reminded of is how I’d hit rock bottom,
While taking swigs from a glass of vodka,
On the rocks imagining her body laid out on top of them.
Posing for me on the hillside of a beach we’d escape to as our flesh found solace,
In each other’s touch.
But…
How can I possibly think of her as my emblem of seduction anytime I’ lonely at night,
Now that I find no meaning in lust unless I’m with the one I’ll love for the rest of my life?
A void she no longer fills,
Voluntarily,
No matter how many times I’ve tried to bring her back.
All for good measure!
Because,
The more she inched away from me,
I’ve found pleasure in replacing what wasn’t meant to be,
With who will love me for the person I am when we aren’t tangled underneath bed sheets,
I’ve changed to never smell her again.
My silhouette.
My lovely outline of destruction I refuse to give light to until the day I’m dead…
