Too often have I been struck by the whiplash of a serpent’s tail.
I’d like to think that I was an angel who was born with broken wings,
Raised by chimeras in my given fable,
But,
I,
Too,
Was a monster cleansed of my depravity.
What else can one expect being part of a defective family?
I had no other choice,
But,
To deviate from?
Love?
Was never present.
If anything,
I was gifted scars on my body as a blessing,
In disguise as pain,
And,
Torture reminding me to go my way.
Or else I’d die by the hands tyrants with a keen sense for blood,
Anytime I’ve made plenty of mistakes.
Regardless,
All is okay now that I’ve escaped,
The labyrinth of deceit I’ve beared amongst eardrums I try my best to dance to.
The beats to my own drums I’ve had to,
Bang in order to set straight a path leading me to damnation.
As I’m now face to face with a man,
In a mirror I’ve desired to be.
Free from the clutches of sorrow as a writer doused by the joyful madness of Poetry…
