Roles were reversed as soon as the “plan-demic” was put into play.
As soon as we became desensitized to loving one another past what we could,
And,
Could not do for ourselves.
As soon as “self-love” became more of a priority than holding each other’s hand when wading through muddy waters,
As muddy as our hearts are today.
But,
It seems like it was bound to happen,
Our disconnection from humanity.
Generations of people looking at a cellphone more often than their surroundings.
Too distracted to see every lie set in motion created to aid our self-destruction.
Ignoring each other’s pain has become our new norm,
To keep the kind of piece keeping us shattered in pieces…
