Transparent Hues – Day 37, Never Give Up On Your Dreamz

Transparent views transformed me more than my parents ever could.
Being able to see through their lies was more helpful than,
Trusting a set of skulls thicker than,
The darkness they’ve set around my atmosphere everywhere I’d go.
A truth unsettling for some,
But,
For me?
A relief.
Because,
Blood,
Has nothing to do with who you have the pleasure to call,
Family.
See,
Family is a special title given to those who pull you back up from an edge,
Others could’ve seen as their opportunity to step on your palms while watching you fall to your,
Inevitable death.
Whether it be physical or spiritual.
Family tends to lean their shoulders toward tear-drops soaken by their,
Faith in your happiest days while praying they’d come sooner than later.
What Family doesn’t do is,
Laugh at your pain,
Mocking your crying face while they savor,
Your downfall from grace everyone has the chance to ascend back to.
Transparent views…
Never have I discovered anything more beautiful than God’s truth,
Shone by His light radiating through the darkest rooms,
I’ve been trapped in by blackened hues,
On a canvas painted on by those my heart finds grotesque the more they’re cut loose as,
Weight I can no longer hold…
