From Around Town – Day 221, Never Give Up On Your Dreamz

You may be from out of town,
But,
Over here,
You’re pseudo-happiness is not allowed.
Over here,
Honesty’s appreciated more than the frown you’ve turned upside down.
Over here,
We love one another regardless of pain everybody suffers,
And,
For that we are proud!

Not a single politician is found in our home,
Nor,
Presidents,
Dead or alive,
Salivating to devour our soul,
Unlike those hardened by illegal tender in a paradox we refuse to uphold.
As well as a law we don’t need,
For the peace we keep rather than sins we’ve decided to let go…

Who am I kidding,
Though?
That’ll never happen.
The world is already doomed by all of our habits,
Darkening a sky the further we deny the hand of,
God looking down,
And,
Glaring at us with a fist full of anger…

But,
Here’s another hypothetical!
Living in a world where not a single person’s skeptical,
About who they’re sitting next to.
A world where trust is possible without questioning yourself about who would let you,
Down any day you need someone during hard times,
That’ll make anybody teary-eyed…

Who am I to think such a thought?
As a loner left to deal with each wrong He’s wrought,
Without one shoulder to lean on,
While forgiveness is placed on a pedestal no one can reach…
