The Asylum For Artists – Day 119, Never Give Up On Your Dreamz

An Asylum of artists is,
Where my soul belongs.
Normal?
I am not.
More so abnormal with how I belch from a belly growling for a song,
I and others can say to.
Grateful,
I am,
To exist as an outcast while on an edge as fatal as,
Every slip into an abyss we can’t climb back from…

It’s a blessing,
Really,
More than a curse reeling in a mind confined in a world stealing,
Our joy for being what we were meant to be.
A definition already written that minute we are given life in a womb sifting through,
Genes for us to wear for eternity.
In a vessel of flesh cut through by the slice of life we choose to eat…

Labels!
Placed on our backs like kick me signs,
But,
From my point of view,
We are just fine with a kick we spice,
Up through seasons that see-saw,
For as long as we could never imagine.
All kinds of temp we ephemerally endure no matter what amount of static.
Singing along to each other’s pain,
With a smile,
Regardless of the sadness!
We may feel…

No other home like it,
The asylum for artists.
Where all we do is get together,
Spreading joy we can’t find at home through catharsis,
Solved by our need to create a piece of art in,
Thought of a new beginning…
