Seductive like the devil’s kiss.
The nightmare every man wants to have.
Her glare,
A ray of bliss…
Until her make-up drips,
And drips back onto the bathroom sink after each swipe.
Scars reveal.
Wounds,
Bright red,
Bleeding out the Ugly she refused to confront and deal…
They say Satan has the brightest smile,
And hers lit up the entire sky.
Yet,
Inside?
As dark as the tunnel God threw me in to shine mine,
With every finished line she tried,
To hide,
Undermine,
Under my,
failures…
Still,
Just a peek at her cheeks pointing upward,
And I feel as successful as a hunter,
Catching his prey after hours of much hurt.
The muse moving my fingers all across a keyboard like a hit of thunder!
Before I,
Take notice of my surroundings…
Hounded by debris.
Feet cut by my ignorance of thee,
War-like scenery,
I have beat into fruition over false intuition…
Now,
My soul lays on the ground,
Seduced by defeat with a vision.
40/45 prescription.
40 Ounce booze in one palm,
.45s,
In my mind while I dip in,
A pile of buds I have been missin’,
Locked and loaded with memories I’ve been sifting through…
For way too long…
A catacomb of those now dead to me!
Only thing left is,
To brush it off…
