Prerequisite For Abandonment

Pondering one question,
And,
One question only.
Is it a prerequisite to laboriously act as a rebel without a cause for another’s attention?
I only ask because,
Most seem to alleviate their feelings of neglect with,
A jab across the chin of who they wish were part of their lives to begin with…
And,
My chin can’t quite take it anymore.
